I started this blog because I love interpreting and I love interpreting research. And while I’m trying to make education and research my career, I know that’s not everyone’s goal. Nor does everyone have the life set-up to do it. No matter. I believe that everyone can think critically. Everyone can learn new things. Everyone can create new knowledge. Everyone can pass on knowledge to others. Curiosity doesn’t require a college degree! Research, after all, is nothing more than formal curiosity with the goal of creating and sharing new knowledge. After an OCRID meeting on Saturday, Amy Delorenzo came up with this great quote – “Everyone can do research. That means you! – and I made a quick mash-up with Rosie the Riveter. Check it out.
